The Homeless Oregon Pet Project (HOPP) 501(c)(3) Nonprofit began in January 2009 when volunteers Donna and Larry Harold and veterinarian Julie Tavares offered free veterinary services at the Josephine County Homeless Count at Riverside Park. We continued the monthly clinics out of the Parkway Christian Center Back Parking Lot and were quickly joined by veterinarian Emily Talkington. We function as a non-profit organization (501(c)(3) Nonprofit).
